Traditional Japanese Embroidery in the UK

Harriet George is a teacher of Japanese Embroidery qualified by the Japanese Embroidery Center, USA and by Kurenai-kai, Japan.

Japanese Embroidery is one of the world's most beautiful forms of fabric decoration and enhancement. Originally for kimono and obi, only the finest silk threads, gold and silver are used.

Stitching is on traditional hand made stretcher frames (unchanged for 1000 years) using delicate hand made metal tools.
